Update 1.0.14
Hello.
I originally intended on saving any new features until 1.1, but there was a pretty major bug introduced by those blasted goblins in 1.0.13. I was in the middle of working on shortcuts, too. As a result, I ended up cutting my progress short and shooting out a patch for the goblins in 1.0.14.
Specifically, there was an issue with them trying to take your items when you have no items to take; also, there was an issue with one of the goblins not being reset properly, so every time you'd enter his room, he would just grab you. Terrible, truly. I don't want that to be intended, obviously. Anyway, I slapped him, so he stops doing that now. Interestingly, it was just him, so it was just me overlooking one of the goblins. My bad.
Anyway, let's talk about the intramap shortcuts I added to 1.0.14. There are some parts of the map that can't be accessed from that side, or just take a long time to go around. The intention of these intramap shortcuts is to reduce the time it takes to get across the map -- hence, shortcut. However, there's no reason to make it easier, so it has a skill test requirement to get across. Luckily, this should be no problem for our main character... right?
In any case, I talked about being able to skip the skill test requirement before with an item. While the items have been implemented, there's no way to acquire them yet. I'd like to save them for 1.1 for now, since the only reason I pushed out shortcuts now rather than later is because of those stinkin' goblins.
Hopefully this build is less buggy than 1.0.13. Sorry for the inconvenience, whoever had decided to play it and found that the game was unplayable at a certain point.
